LWW is committed to ensure the workers and those who work under their control are provided with a safe and conducive working environment and protected them from any unintended injury and ill health. In order to achieve this, the management of LWW:

  • Provides a safe and conducive working environment to all workers and subcontractors
  • Prevents any potential and unintended incident / accident from occurring in the workplace
  • Complies with the applicable legal and statutory requirement concerning to safety and health by meeting domestic and international occupational health and safety regulatory requirement
  • Provides appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to workers whenever it is deems required and necessary
  • Promote safety and health awareness among the workers and those who work directly under their control on the health and safety practices towards a safe workplace

We manage the health, safety and environmental matters as a key part of our business success and growth. As a responsible corporate citizen who recognizes the importance of environmental protection, LWW strives to:

  • Comply with all applicable environmental legislative, regulatory and other environment requirement
  • Protect the environment, including the prevention of pollution
  • Use energy, water and material efficiently throughout our operations
  • Build awareness of our stakeholders on environment issues
  • Continually improve environmental performance by incorporating suitable measurement and monitoring mechanisms

 

 

FSC POLICY

Printing

LWW adopted the principles promoted by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) of environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of forests. The chain of custody practices are based on the FSC STD 40-004:

  • Provide quality and sustainable products in order to meet or exceed customer requirements and satisfy their needs and expectations
  • Ensure the input materials (forest based materials) sources from forest that fulfil sustainability and not violating the traditional and human rights in forest operation
  • Be a market leader
  • Leading a team towards the Forest Sustainability by implementing and maintaining Chain of Custody requirement that based on FSC STD 40-004
  • Procured the forest based materials by applying the Due Diligence Program to ensure the forest and tree based materials not come from illegal logging or trade in illegal wood or forest products
  • Fulfil the responsibility and obligation that comply with the local and international regulatory requirements and ensure the operation does not violate the rules and regulations concerning forest sustainability
  • Continue and working to maintain the integrity and validity of the FSC COC System
  • Protecting the rights of their workers in accordance with the Conventions 87 & 89 of ILO
  • Recruit and provide job opportunity to locals and upkeep the human right by not discriminate according to gender, age, race, avoid using forced labor child labor in the operation
  • Generate awareness among the employees who perform activities related to COC practices and provides adequate training to ensure the compliance with the FSC COC requirement
  • Apply the FSC trademark according to the requirement of FSC as specified in the document of FSC-STD-50-001
